According to WASC, the Educational Effectiveness Review “invite[s] sustained engagement by the institutional on the extent to which the institution fulfills its educational objectives.” For more information about the purposes of this review, see the WASC Handbook of Accreditation.

UCLA has chosen to focus its Educational Effectiveness Review on three special themes:

Shaping Undergraduate Education via the Capstone Experience
Facilitating Interdisciplinary Education and Research
Educational Technology

The Educational Effectiveness review culminates in a site visit, scheduled for March 2009.
